This free soundtrack album of the game Skyward Descent takes you on a journey from the calm night skies through the clouds down to dangerous city ruins infested with evil creatures.
The free browser game by Brandon JSLea is a twin stick shooter packed with action, but also a dream like setting above the clouds. The composer of the game's soundtrack, Janek "U-GameZ" Roeben (me!) tried to capture these seemingly opposite motifs with slow, chill-out like pieces that gradually become more eerie and atmospheric, before the pace picks up and the album climaxes in a fast action piece as the "final boss" approaches.
This album contains 9 remastered tracks from the game and 7 Bonus tracks on the "B-Sides" in .wav and mp3 formats.
